Sample Problem: NIF Unconverted Light in 3ω Focus Plane

Overview

This shows a test problem for examining unconverted laser light geometry for NIF beams. In this example, the blue (3ω) light from the 4 beams of the Q15T Quad is focused at the center of a rectangle located at target chamber center. The power deposited by the green (2ω) and red (1ω) cones is examined.

The steps in this example application are:

• Set up the grid.
• Set up the laser beams.
• View the results.
